Lizard Spring Art Fair 2018

On 4th November last year my daughter and I took up a residency at Alt Dearg a Cottage beneath the Black Cuillins on the Isle of Skye. Our daytime studio, her campervan. It was a magic week of weather where we really were chasing rainbows some of the time.

Come and see my work from that week. Much of it contained in sketchbooks hand made and containing cartridge paper with a prepared ground, using watercolour and pen and wash Techniques.

Other work from this last year from Venice, West Penwith, Devon, St Martin’s and Florence.

Welcome: Open Studio 2017, Sicily, Coastal Paths & The Mediterranean

This time last year I was sketching and painting in Sicily. Then followed time in Devon in early summer. South of France in September. Bryher in October. November through to the beginning of the month was spent working here in West Penwith. Working outside on the moorland and coastal path. The year finished with my first visit to paint in Venice.

Edinburgh Print Workshop & Collagraphic Printing

Until recently I have prepared plates here in my studio and printed them in Edinburgh at the Print Workshop.

Now I am the proud owner of a mini press which enables me to produce my collagraphic prints here in the studio at New Mill. The extended bed means that can cope with most of my work.
